Why is your internet price lower than the sticker price at the lot.

Hi Michelle,

Thank you very much for your question, it is a good one. The Pre-owned vehicle market is very competitive and is changing daily. The value and price of a vehicle can change rapidly over 3 months and with the supply and demand of the market (ie: a convertible in winter vs. in summer has 2 different values).

A few years ago, car buyers would refer to newspaper classifieds and/or drive to their local car dealership and browse the inventory looking for their desired vehicle (dealership 1st, car 2nd). Now, most car buyers turn to the internet to search and find their desired car based on Year/Make/Model and price/kms (a value decision) and then choose the store to purchase from based on price and value and where the car they want actually sits(car 1st, dealership 2nd).

With this in mind, we change prices on vehicles a minimum of once every 3-4 days and some change daily in order to stay very competitive with an ever changing vehicle market. We carry anywhere from 130-150 pre-owned vehicles at any one time, and sell anywhere from 80-110 each month. Because of this we change prices up to 1,000 times per month on our entire inventory, this makes it very difficult to physically change prices on our inventory each time they change online. An average vehicle will be sold in 30 days and have 7 or more price changes within that time. We do refer to our online price when making a deal with the car buyer and potential new client. I hope this helps explain why the physical price on the vehicle does not change while our online price does.
